HUNT 2 RICHES RULES

1. Solo play:

• Participants play  individually, prize is given solely to the individual.

2. Clue Sequence:

• All  clues and riddles must be solved in the correct order.
• Individuals cannot move forward until the current clue is answered  correctly.

3. No Skipping:

• Skipping clues is not allowed. All clues must be solved before progressing.

4. Completion Requirement:

• All clues and riddles must be answered before continuing to any physical locations or additional tasks.

5. Documentation:

• Answers must be documented, either written or recorded, as instructed.

6. Fair Play:

• Respect the progress of other players. Tampering with clues or hindering other participants' progress will result in disqualification.

7. Time Limits:

• There may be a time limit to complete the entire hunt (e.g., 4 hours).
• Participants must finish within the set time to be eligible for prize.

8. Use of Technology:

• GPS or maps can be used for navigation.
• Smartphones may be required for certain tasks, such as scanning QR codes.

9. Victory Conditions:

• The first individual to complete all clues and reach the final destination wins.
• In the event of a tie, the fastest completion time will determine the winner.

10. No Hints or Assistance:

• No hints will be provided at any point. Participants must solve the clues entirely on their own.

11. Prizes:

• Prizes will be awarded based on the completion of all clues.

12. Elimination Rounds:

• As prizes increase, elimination rounds will be introduced. Only the top performers will advance to the next round.

13. Age Requirement:

• All participants must be 18 years or older to enter the treasure hunt.

14. Follow Local and Federal Laws:

• Participants must comply with all local, state, and federal laws during the hunt.
• Any illegal activity will result in immediate disqualification and may be reported to authorities.

15. Respect Private Property:

• Participants must respect private property. Trespassing is strictly prohibited.
• Only public or designated areas should be accessed for the hunt.

16. Physical Challenges:

• Some clues may involve physical challenges. Participants are responsible for their own safety and should not attempt tasks beyond their physical capabilities.

17. Environmental Respect:

• Participants must respect the environment. Littering, damaging plants, or disturbing wildlife is not allowed and may result in disqualification.

18. Transport Rules:

• If transportation is required, participants must obey all traffic and transport laws (e.g., speed limits, parking rules).
• Reckless driving or breaking traffic laws will result in penalties or disqualification.
• If participants choose to use public transport the cost will fall solely onto the individual participant.
• All costs for public transport, parking, tolls, fines or other transport related costs will fall solely onto the individual participant.

19. Clue Ownership:

• Once a clue is solved, it should not be removed or hidden from other participants. Tampering with or altering clues will result in disqualification.

20. No Modifying Clues:

• Participants are prohibited from modifying or altering clues in any way.
• Clues must be completed exactly as they are provided.

21. Waiver and Release of Liability:

• Participants must accept the terms & conditions of the game and in doing so participants release the organisers from liability for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during the event.
• Participation is at the participant’s own risk.

22. Compliance with Public Safety Regulations:

• All participants must adhere to any public safety regulations, such as fire codes, crowd control limits, and emergency exit requirements, in any venues or areas used during the hunt.

23. Alcohol and Drug Policy:

• The use of alcohol or illegal substances during the hunt is strictly prohibited.
• Any participant found under the influence will be immediately disqualified.

24. No Unauthorised Public Gatherings:

• Participants must not cause unauthorised public gatherings or disrupt public order. All game activities must follow local ordinances regarding public assembly.
• Any violation will result in disqualification.

25. Permits and Permissions:

• Organisers are responsible for ensuring that the necessary permits are obtained for any activities that require such, including but not limited to public events, use of certain parks or facilities, or transportation requirements.
• Participants must comply with the rules specified by these permits.

26. No Entry into Restricted Areas:

• Participants are prohibited from entering restricted or government-owned areas, construction zones, or any other locations that are legally off-limits.
• Breaching restricted areas will result in disqualification and possible legal action.

27. Privacy of Individuals:

• Participants must respect the privacy of non-participants and avoid filming, photographing, or involving uninvolved individuals without their consent.
• Violating this rule may result in legal consequences and disqualification.

28. Copyright and Intellectual Property:

• Participants must not infringe on any copyrights or intellectual property rights during the hunt.
• Use of unauthorised third-party content, including music, logos, or other proprietary information, may result in disqualification and legal repercussions.

29. Surveillance and Monitoring:

• For the safety of all participants, certain locations or areas may be under video surveillance or monitoring by event organisers.
• By participating, individuals consent to being recorded for safety and organisational purposes.

30. Obstruction of Law Enforcement:

• Participants must not interfere with law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, or security during the hunt.
• Any participant who obstructs law enforcement will be disqualified and may face legal action.

31. Noise Ordinances:

• Participants must adhere to local noise ordinances and avoid excessive noise in public      or private areas that could disturb residents or violate noise laws.
• Violations may result in disqualification.

32. Defamation and Harassment:

• Participants are prohibited from making defamatory statements, engaging in harassment, or bullying other participants, organisers, or bystanders during the hunt.
• Such behaviour will lead to disqualification and possible legal action.

33. Right to Search Bags and Vehicles:

• The organisers reserve the right to inspect participants’ personal belongings or vehicles if there are concerns about rule violations or safety.
• Failure to comply with searches may lead to disqualification.

34. Equal Opportunity Participation:

• The event will follow all applicable non-discrimination laws, and participation is open to individuals regardless of race, gender, religion, national origin, or disability, as long as they meet the game’s criteria.
• Any form of discrimination by participants will result in disqualification.

35. Health and Safety Compliance:

• Participants must comply with any public health mandates in place, including but not      limited to mask-wearing, social distancing, or vaccination requirements.
• Failure to comply with these regulations will result in disqualification.

36. False Representation:

• Participants must not provide false or misleading information during registration or the event.
• Discovery of any falsified information will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes.

37. Use of Drones or Remote Devices:

• Use of drones or remote-controlled devices is prohibited unless specifically authorised by the organisers and in compliance with local airspace regulations.
• Unauthorised drone usage will result in disqualification.

38. Prohibited Weapons:

• No weapons of any kind (including but not limited to firearms, knives, or other hazardous materials) are allowed during the event.
• Possession of a weapon will lead to immediate disqualification and will be reported to authorities.

39. Third-Party Contracts:

• Participants are prohibited from entering into any agreements or contracts on behalf of the event organisers without prior written consent.
• Unauthorised agreements will not be honoured and may result in disqualification.

40. Conflict of Interest Disclosure:

• Participants must disclose any conflicts of interest with the organisers or sponsors of the treasure hunt.
• Failure to disclose such conflicts may result in disqualification.

41. Tax Responsibility:

• Any taxes or fees associated with prize winnings are the sole responsibility of the participants.
• The organisers will not cover or be responsible for tax liabilities arising from prize distribution.

42. Cybersecurity and Data Protection:

• Participants must not engage in hacking, data theft, or other cyber offenses during the event.
• Any breach of data protection or cyber laws will lead to disqualification and potential legal consequences.

43. Organiser Discretion for Rule Enforcement:

• The event organisers reserve the right to enforce or waive any rules at their discretion, based on specific circumstances.
• Decisions made by the organisers regarding rule enforcement are final and binding.

44. No Guarantees of Prize Distribution:

• The organisers are not responsible for delays or issues beyond their control that may impact the distribution of prizes.
• Prizes may be adjusted or substituted at the organiser’s discretion.

45. Force Majeure and Event Cancellation:

• The event may be cancelled, postponed, or modified due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, civil unrest, or public health emergencies.
• In such cases, the organisers hold no liability for any financial loss or inconvenience caused to participants.

46. Indemnification of Organisers:

• Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, event holders, sponsors, and directors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the event.
• This includes, but is not limited to, legal fees, injuries, and property damage claims.

47. No Warranties for Safety:

• The organisers make no warranties or guarantees regarding the safety or condition of any event locations, clues, or physical challenges.
• Participants are responsible for their own safety and must use their judgment in engaging in any activities.

48. No Liability for Third-Party Actions:

• The organisers are not liable for the actions or negligence of third-party service providers, such as venue owners, transportation providers, or sponsors.
• Any disputes arising from third-party interactions are the responsibility of the participant.

49. Organisers' Right to Modify Rules:

• The organisers reserve the right to modify, add, or remove rules at any point before or during the event to ensure smooth operation or in response to unforeseen challenges.
• Participants will be informed of any changes as soon as reasonably possible.

50. No Refunds for Event Changes:

• If the event is altered, postponed, or cancelled due to any reason, including legal or safety concerns, no refunds will be issued to participants for any fees paid.

51. No Legal Advice Provided:

• Participants understand that the event organisers are not providing legal advice or guidance, and participants are encouraged to seek their own legal counsel if needed.
• Organisers will not be liable for participants’ misunderstanding of the legal implications of the event.

52. Public and Media Interaction:

• The organisers are not responsible for any interactions participants may have with the media or public during or after the event.
• Participants are solely responsible for their own behaviour and statements.

53. No Responsibility for Personal Items:

• Organisers are not responsible for any personal items lost, stolen, or damaged during the event.
• Participants must take responsibility for securing their belongings at all times.

54. No Endorsement of Participants' Actions:

• The actions of participants do not reflect the views or policies of the organisers or sponsors.
• Any participant’s illegal or unethical behaviour during the event is solely their own responsibility.

55. No Assumption of Risk for Hazardous Locations:

• The organisers do not assume any risk for participants entering potentially hazardous or dangerous locations.
• Participants are encouraged to avoid risky areas and will be disqualified if they knowingly endanger themselves or others.

56. Participant Acknowledgment of Risk:

• By participating in the event, participants acknowledge that they are voluntarily assuming all risks associated with physical, mental, and emotional challenges posed by the treasure hunt.
• This includes risks of injury, accidents, or distress.

57. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration:

• Any disputes arising from the treasure hunt will be subject to binding arbitration.
• Participants agree to resolve any legal claims through arbitration rather than litigation, and any decisions made by the arbitrator will be final.

58. No Guarantees of Media Coverage:

• The organisers are not responsible for or liable for the lack of media coverage or attention to the event, even if media attendance was initially anticipated.
• The event’s visibility is not guaranteed.

59. Sponsor Disclaimer:

• The sponsors and partners of the event are not responsible for the conduct of the event or any liabilities arising from participant actions.
• Sponsors' involvement is limited to promotional or financial support and does not imply any legal responsibility.

60. Compliance with Event Security Measures:

• Participants must comply with all security protocols put in place by the event organisers, including possible screenings, ID verification, or security checks.
• Refusal to comply with these measures will result in immediate disqualification.
